Latest ASDA/SGA News[More]
Hello CDM Students!
We hope that you are excited for this year's Give Kids a Smile event this Saturday, April 13th!
On Friday there will be a Give Kids a Smile Lunch & Learn at 12pm in Hull. At this meeting we will provide you with a run-through of Saturday's events and emphasize the responsibilities of each class. Kellie, from Team Smile, will be speaking to us as well. Thanks to Kellie, Mike Wallace, Paul Soliai and a handful of other Miami Dolphins players will be coming to GKAS!
D1’s will be dental assisting and providing oral hygiene instructions.
D2’s can do cleanings, sealants, or assisting.
D3’s & D4’s can perform restorative treatments.
We still need extra handpieces and cassettes for Saturday’s event. Please lend us your instruments! Release forms can be filled out in sterilization when you drop off your instruments on the 3rd floor. These forms will guarantee that your instruments will not be lost and ensure that your belongings will be returned to you on Monday. Please drop off your instruments by Thursday, or Friday after your last patient.
If you still have not signed up for for GKAS, THERE IS STILL TIME- please see your class reps!!!

ADEA's First Fundraising Event!
Come watch our dental professors compete for prizes and the title of "Best Wax-Up in the Southeast," the winner will be decided by US, the Students! Proceeds will go towards the Simulation lab renewal project!
When : Monday, April 8th from 12-1pm
Where : Sim Lab
The cost is $10 Students, Professors, and Staff
Tickets on sale every day at lunch in front of JuiceBlendz

Further Details: I would like to take this opportunity to announce the newest organization at NSU’s College of Dental Medicine; the American Dental Education Association. As the sole national organization representing academic dentistry, ADEA is the voice of dental education. This meeting is designed to introduce this chapter to NSU students as well as discuss the benefits of membership and future events. As a new club we will be accepting nominations for the following positions:
· Secretary
· Historian
· D1,D2,D3,D4 class representatives (one for each year)
· Fundraising chair
· Community service chair
· Website developer
· Membership chair
Please send all nominations to sm1668@nova.edu by Fri., Feb 22nd 5pm in order to be considered. Each nominee will respond with a short paragraph explaining why you should hold the position.
